A fascination with maps and how they tell the story behind the data has always fascinated me. When I went through school to receive my GIS Certificate, the classes I took opened my eyes to a whole new aspect of data analysis and management. I’ve had a long-standing history of working with data, both in creation of databases as well as managing them. With GIS, I love to see how analyzing spatial data gives a graphical way of displaying real-world solutions or identifying problems so they can be mitigated. My studies provided a solid understanding of GIS theory, GPS, remote sensing, and the use of ArcGIS and ArcPro. Wherever my career path leads next, my hope is that it includes putting these skills to use in a way that has great impact.
